My name is Melody Pacheco, I am a Digital & Social Media Marketer, Motivational Speaker, and Mental Health Advocate. After, discovering the Suicide Rate was on the rise, not only among adults but also among children and young adults. This tragic information hit close to home for me. Due to my own experiences with childhood domestic abuse, anxiety, depression, and contemplating suicide as a young child & teenager. It triggered some painful memories and emotions that “ I thought “ I put behind me. I learned very quickly that trauma “doesn't just go away”. I learned about triggers, and that I was triggered. I learned that my childhood trauma still lurked deep within me. Sadly, even as an adult woman today. When I think back and remember the things I endured & contemplated when I felt I had no other options. When, I believed I had no other options, other than to suffer through it or commit suicide. So, to learn that the second leading cause of death in the U.S, among 10-year-olds and 34-year-olds, is suicide. Was & still is heartbreaking for me, and I knew I had to do something. I knew I had to be vulnerable and share my story to do my best to help save some lives.

I soon began to receive “Downloads” that I could use my Social Media Marketing skill set to create awareness by being vulnerable and sharing my story on my Instagram & Facebook handles. With the hopes that it would start the conversation and make room for honest dialogue on the subject of Mental Health. I was thinking to myself - if I could just share all the things I endured and survived growing up. If, I could just share how I made it through to become the powerful woman I am today. Maybe, just maybe I could save some lives by sharing my story.

First and foremost, I communicate about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention in a very untraditional way. I believe the Suicide happens before the Suicide. What we consume and participate in daily can sometimes contribute to triggers from our past trauma. This alone can be a recipe for destructive behavior, that leads to severe anxiety, depression, and eventually Suicide. My personal experience and theories are that if we can teach Beings the skill of how to take Possession and Master their Minds. When I say “Being” I mean the Living Being within every one of us before we become the “Human Being”, the Spiritual Being”, and all the other “Title” we become before we just learn how to Be. Once we learn how to Mind Management our minds. Nothing else will have the ability or opportunity to trick us into believing anything otherwise.

I am not a Mental Health Professional, however, through my personal struggles within myself, my family, and the minority culture. I’ve learned that one’s Mental Health and Self-Care weren’t at the forefront of our daily discussion at the dinner table or in our households. Now, that I look back. I realize that Self-Care wasn’t even a topic with my parents or at school. I remember D.A.R.E, the Drug Abuse Resistance Education assemblies at school, but I can’t recall one assembly or subject that discussed maintaining our Mental Health on or off-campus.

Beings are being tricked into believing Suicide is the solution to their problems, but that's quite the contrary. When in actuality it’s our Daily Habits that can either create problems or create Solutions.

I am creating resources to assist us in our journey of Self-Love and Self-Respect and building a community of like-minded individuals to
