My Story
The Pretty Ugly: A Story of Hope and Healing
I am blessed, but the journey to where I am today has been far from easy. On the outside, society might see a pretty young woman, but no one sees the trauma I’ve carried or the strength it’s taken to heal. I grew up in a domestic violence household, and my early years were filled with pain and illness. At just 16, I left home to escape the chaos, but the scars from my past followed me.
I entered a cycle of self-destruction—drugs, toxic relationships, and a deep lack of self-worth. I didn’t know how to love myself or see my value, and eventually, I hit rock bottom. I found myself battling suicidal thoughts, unaware that my destructive behaviors were a form of silent suicide, long before I even considered ending my life.
Suicide isn’t just the act; it’s the years of hidden suffering. Over 50% of those who die by suicide have never been diagnosed with a mental illness, yet they’re silently enduring the pain.
But today, I am no longer defined by my past. I’ve healed. I’m in a loving relationship, I’ve built a successful business, and I’ve learned to love myself. My story is a testament to resilience, and now I’m sharing it in hopes of helping others find their way through the darkness. This is "The Pretty"—the strength and beauty that come from surviving trauma and choosing to heal.

Our Mission
Our ultimate goal is to intervene and prevent suicide by offering immediate support and resources to individuals expressing self-harming thoughts or behaviors. At Suicide Watch Global, we strive to create a safe, compassionate space where people can openly share their struggles—spaces where difficult conversations about mental health can be had without fear or judgment.
Our mission is to stand with our community, providing the help and care needed to disrupt suicidal thoughts and behaviors before they escalate. We connect individuals with local resources, ensuring that support is always close by. Through understanding, active listening, and genuine care, we work to reduce the risks of self-destructive actions, offering a lifeline to those who feel lost. At the heart of what we do is the belief that no one should face these battles alone—and that healing begins with a conversation.
Success Stories
Supporting the homeless in areas like Skid Row goes beyond providing basic needs; it's about addressing the mental and emotional challenges that come with living on the streets. Many individuals facing homelessness struggle with trauma, isolation, and a sense of hopelessness. By offering mental health support, we can help these individuals rebuild their sense of self-worth, find stability, and take steps toward healing. Providing access to counseling, emotional support, and safe spaces for expression can make a profound difference in their journey, offering more than just survival—it offers the possibility of recovery, dignity, and a renewed sense of hope.
